Park Services Firewood Distribution

It's A Go! - If you are a Wheaton Park District taxpayer and interested in picking up firewood, please visit the Park Services Center, located at 1000 Manchester Road, weekdays between the hours of 7:30A and 2:15P only. Firewood is not available on observed Holidays. We cannot accommodate special pickup requests outside of hours posted. This is a free service to Wheaton taxpayers, however; Donations are greatly appreciated and go towards the future development of the Sensory Garden Playground. A donation box is located at the front check-in area for your convenience. Learn more about the playground at playforalldupage.org. Details: Check-in is required at front desk with ID Hours for pick up are M-F 7:30am-2:15pm ONLY. Closed on observed Holidays. Proof of residency as a park district taxpaying household is required. Quantity is limited to 25 pieces of firewood weekly per household.

Arrowhead Cross Country Skiing

Canceled - Cross country ski trails are closed for the season. We look forward to seeing you next winter.

Elliott Lake (Ice Fishing Only)

Closed - Elliot Lake is closed for ice fishing as of today January 22nd and will remain closed until further notice.

Tennis Classes

Canceled - Tennis Classes will restart during the Spring 2024 Season.

Cosley Zoo

Notice - Due to severe weather, Cosley Zoo will close at 6P on Thursday, December 22 and will be open from 9A to 4P on Friday, December 23. Holiday Hours: December 24 open 9A-12P; December 25: CLOSED; December 26-30 open daily 9A-9P; December 31 open 9A-12P; January 1: Closed; starting January 2, the zoo will be open daily 9A-4P.
